eSIM Troubleshooting

【Q1】 I've arrived at my destination but can't connect to the internet. What should I check first?

A. Please check if the following "basic settings" are configured correctly.

Many connection issues can be resolved by reviewing the following settings.

  1. Turn "Data Roaming" ON

    • Make sure "Data Roaming" is ON in your eSIM line settings. (※Many travel eSIMs require roaming to be enabled)
  2. Switch Mobile Data Connection

    • Check that the eSIM you just installed is selected as the "Mobile Data" line.
  3. Airplane Mode On/Off

    • Turn "Airplane Mode" ON once, wait a few seconds, then turn it OFF again to reconnect to the network.

【Q2】 My settings seem correct, but I can't get a signal (shows "No Service" or "Out of Service").

A. Try restarting your device and toggling the line activation status.

  1. Restart Your Device

    • Completely power off your smartphone and restart it. This will refresh the network settings.
  2. Toggle Line On/Off

    • In the settings screen, turn the target eSIM line OFF once, then turn it back ON.
  3. Move to an Area with Better Signal

    • Signal may be weak in deep areas of airports or underground. Try connecting near windows or outdoors where signal conditions are better.

【Q3】 Connection speed is slow, or it shows "3G/E".

A. APN (Access Point Name) settings may be required.

Usually this is set automatically, but occasionally manual configuration may be necessary. Check the settings screen (Cellular > Select eSIM > Cellular Data Network) and verify that the specified APN information is entered correctly, and that there are no extra spaces.

Also, manually selecting the local carrier (network operator) may help. Switch "Network Selection" from "Automatic" to "Manual" and try selecting a partnered carrier.

【Q4】 I see "SIM not valid" or "SIM locked" messages.

A. Please check if your device is SIM-unlocked.

To use eSIM, your smartphone must be SIM-free (SIM-unlocked). If you purchased your device from a carrier in the past and haven't completed the SIM unlock procedure, you cannot use eSIMs from other carriers. Please check the unlock status with your current carrier.

【Q5】 I can't install the eSIM properly.

A. Please check your internet environment and whether the eSIM is already installed.

Deleting eSIM:

Once installed, QR codes generally cannot be reused. If you delete the eSIM because of an error, you won't be able to use it. Please check other methods before deleting.
