Can I use tethering (Internet sharing)?

Yes. If your device and network support it, you can use tethering (personal hotspot) with eSIM.

The setup instructions for each OS are as follows.

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

Follow these basic steps to enable the feature.

  1. Open "Settings".

  2. Tap "Personal Hotspot" (or "Internet Sharing").

  3. Turn on "Allow Others to Join".

【Important】If tethering doesn't work (APN settings) Some eSIMs may require manual APN (Access Point Name) input for tethering. If the above steps don't work, please follow these steps:

  1. Open "Settings" > "Cellular" (or "Mobile Data").

  2. Select the eSIM plan you're using for data.

  3. Tap "Cellular Data Network" (or "Mobile Data Network").

  4. Scroll down and find the "Personal Hotspot" section.

  5. Enter the APN name specified in your eSIM installation guide in the "APN" field.

    • ※Enter in all lowercase letters with no spaces.

    • ※Leave "Username" and "Password" fields blank.


Android

Follow these steps to enable the access point (hotspot). ※Please make sure that the APN settings for data communication are completed beforehand.

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification bar, then tap the gear icon "Settings".

  2. Tap "Network & Internet".

  3. Tap "Hotspot & Tethering" (or "Tethering").

  4. Tap "Wi-Fi Hotspot" and turn on the switch.

After changing settings, restarting your device once may help establish the connection.
